Thanks to a great friend, I’ve been watching a bunch of Aoi Hana episodes these days. I am an insanely big fan of Shimura Takako, and Aoi Hana is one of my favorite mangas ever (and, boy!, I do have a lot of fav ones)! No need to say I was overly happy when the anime was announced.

Aoi Hana deals with the girl’n'girl topic is a sweet and natural way. The graphics are extremely cute. The only thing I find a bit down is the soundtrack. It hasn’t appealed much to me.
Seriously, WATCH IT. Specialy if you are an yuri fan/lesbian/bisexual.
And for manga geeks like me, Lililicious is currently translating it. As up to this moment, 4 volumes are already up. You can download them here.

The coolest thing I’ve seen in a while.
After so many complains about the ridiculous position the White House defended concerning the DOMA, Barack Obama decided to begin making things happen:
“President Barack Obama, under growing criticism for not seeking to end the ban on openly gay men and women in the military, is extending benefits to same-sex partners of federal employees.
Obama plans to announce his decision on Wednesday in the Oval Office, a White House official said Tuesday. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the president hadn’t yet signed the presidential memorandum.
The official said Obama would release more details on Wednesday.”

Yes, I am. Out an proud, they say.
I found out when I was around fourteen. And it was cool. Yes, of course I had some drama, but for the most part it was amazing. I considered myself a full lesbian for a long time. Then I found out that, well, men do atract me as well. I was kinda ashamed of being bisexual in the beginning. You know, there’s prejudice around bisexualism coming not only from the straight world, but also from the gay one. It’s tough. But it’s awesome anyway.
There’s no big reason for me to write this right now, I was just wondering how awesome this whole LGBT world is and decide to share. We are in the XXI century, and yet there so many people that try to get us down. Don’t let them. It’s ok to be gay!
